Caitlyn Paxson’s Shelfie
It's nearly impossible to pick a favourite bookshelf, but I decided that it had to be the tattered books that made me an avid reader as a child. Even though my debut novel is for an adult audience, I think these influences are undeniable, and it makes perfect sense that I ended up writing whimsical, historical fantasy romance!
This picture also features my collection of grey rocks with white stripes - I think a lot of us book people are also "ooo, look at that pretty rock" people, right?
Caitlyn Paxson has a degree in writing and cultural history and has worked as the artistic director of storytelling performances, a harpist, a book reviewer, a nineteenth century jack-of-all-trades, a shepherdess, and a fake Victorian spirit medium. She lives on Epekwitk/Prince Edward Island with her husband and three orange cats. A Widow’s Charm is her debut novel.
Shelfies is edited by Lavie Tidhar and Jared Shurin.
